United Press International
United Press International (United Press International; abbreviated as: United Press, UPI) is the second largest news agency in the United States and a well-known business news agency in the United States. It was founded in 1902 by the famous newspaperman Scripps and established in 1958. It merged with the International Society founded by Hearst and is headquartered in Washington. United Press, along with Reuters, Associated Press, and Agence France-Presse, are known as the four major global news agencies in the West.
