University of Massachusetts Amherst
The University of Massachusetts Amherst is a comprehensive public university located in Amherst, MA. It was founded in 1863 and is affiliated with Amherst College. (one of the best liberal arts colleges in the United States), Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College (Smith College, one of the best women's colleges in the United States) together form the famous Massachusetts Five Schools alliance. In the 2014 USNEWS comprehensive ranking of American universities, it ranked 91st, tied with Auburn University, Colorado University of Mines, Florida State University, University of Denver, and University of San Diego. Since the Chinese name of Amherst has not yet been unified, the Chinese translation of the school has multiple versions, including University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Massachusetts Amherst, etc.
